Yesterday evening, 12/11/2022, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a suspicious communication by a juvenile in which the Millbrook Junior High School was initially thought to have been mentioned. An investigation was immediately launched, and the Sheriff’s Office worked in collaboration with the school administration to quickly and thoroughly investigate the report. The investigation found there is no known threat or safety concern and further found there was no direct connection or known threat to Millbrook Junior High or any area schools.
Out of an abundance of caution, there was an increased Sheriff’s Office presence at the area schools during arrival time this morning. Please be assured that if there is a threat or danger to a school or the public in general, a timely notification would be made to provide accurate, credible information.
